When creating an opportunity and adding a product - the quantity defaults to "numeric" and I cannot enter an amount - do I need to change somethingin the column formatting????

I am not sure what you may have changed from the default settings but you can roll back to factory defaults by deleting the setting file. Follow these steps:

1.) Close ACT
2.) Go to START -> MY DOCUMENTS and open DURKIN COMPUTING folder
3.) Open \Durkin.Views.OpportunityList\Column Layouts\YOUDATABASENAME\ folder
4.) Delete the file named BaseLayoutProducts.Layout
5) Restart ACT

Jim,

This is an area I am having issues with. I am more afraid, now, however, that I may have really broken something.

I am trying to get the values under Quantity (when adding an opportunity) -> trying to get those values to be WITHOUT DECIMALS.

So I right-clicked on the column heading and click Edit Column.

I immediately get this error: (below)

After I get through that, I DO get an edit setting box. But I can't seem to change any values.

WHAT I am worried about is - The Quantity Column now has no word in it?

I tried the method you outlined for the Original Poster. But I still have a blank in QUantity.
