The Durkin Toolkit for ACT! 10.0.2

Durkin Toolkit for ACT! will allow users to:
A: Quickly add new views into ACT. Each new view will automatically generate:
1. Table creation with new, modify and delete.
2. New view icon in the navigation bar.
3. New menu in the ACT menu system. (New Modify and Delete and also Hit Keys to access the new view)
4. New view list supporting in-line editing, printing, sorting, grouping, exported and more.
5. Import / Export custom views and custom forms allowing the CC to design verticals.
(All the features that our list plus products support. Yes, we are also working on color rules, filter panels and printing)
B. The toolkit supports changing existing entity names.
Change Contacts to Customers, Opportunity to Projects, Companies to Teams and or Groups into Districts or any combination .
C. The toolkit allows users to configure"'Edit" windows. Think of it as a layout designer for any window in ACT! like "Edit Activities" and "Edit Opportunities". With it you can move/ resize and disable/hide any control. Change labels on existing fields. Wouldn't you love to put the notes field on the 'edit activity' window in the same tab as the date and time? Wouldn't is be great to disabled any option under the preferences window?
D. The toolkit will allows users to add new fields to any "Edit Window"
Add new fields on the Edit Activity window to track : Mileage, billable rate, is billable, or any other fields. Only eight custom fields on the "Edit Opportunity" window? The use DIT to add new fields! DIT will work all Durkin Add-ons for ACT.
E. The new fields added using DIT will support export to QuickBooks. ( There I said it - QuickBooks )
F. The new fields will support math functions. Our unreleased add-on called "Mat Made Simple" will be blended into DIT so we can use it to perform math functions between fields in the new tables or between fields added onto the "Edit Opportunity" window.
G. A true Intelligent configurable find function Using CTRL+F user can design multiple find conditions and parameters. This Intelligent-find not only supports ACT's SQL data, it extends searching into internet data using advanced mining technology.
H. The ability to import/export these changes. DIT will come in two flavors: 1. The Designer and 2. The Runtime.
ACC receive the designer free allowing them to create custom solutions for end users. These solutions can be exported to XML files and imported on client sites. ACC could create their own version of ACT for a specific industry and reseller their designs.
I. The ability to move the Navigation bar on the right side of the form. You can dock the NavBar top,right,bottom or left. You can even change the NavBar into a Toolbar!
J. A custom "Record History" window with a built-in timer. Another unreleased add-on that extends the Record History window with a programmable timer will be blended in DIT. You will be able to open multiple windows open at the same time. Start a timer on one and stop the timer on the other window.
The feature set for DIT is not set at this time. The DIT runtime version will be released 'under-the-hood' with the next versions of CVP and TLP. The full designer version will be released shortly after.
